| Picking up our first week of food |
Fat and happy...that's how we describe ourselves...we are crazy in love, financially secure, are close to our families and have great friends. We both live by the "treat every day like it's your last" concept. We belong to a country club and spend a lot time time there golfing, playing tennis and eating/drinking. We both work, have four legged children, don't cook and love our cocktails. Do we have fun? You bet! Is this unhealthy lifestyle catching up with us? You bet! Do we hate looking like this? You bet! Since we've been married (7 years) I've gained almost 40 pounds and my hubby has gained 100 and we're sick of it...we used to be so cute! :-)
So for the last year, every Sunday night, we both swore we were going to "start our diet tomorrow" and had the best intentions....by Tuesday morning we'd already "cheated" and by Wednesday we would say "let's start next week." We just can't seem to do it on our own... and then opportunity knocked...we found out our dear friend at the country club is the owner of Diet to Go and talked to him about the program. What a simple but amazing concept. Fresh food prepared for you based on guidelines by major nutrition associations that you just pick up and eat? No frozen diet foods full of salt, no processed food delivered monthly in a cardboard box. Chef prepared food that you simply just eat. We were sold! We cleaned out our fridge and pantry, picked up our food and high fived each other because we know this is what we've been looking for - the easiest, healthiest way for us to take control of our weight and health! I would like to share our progress so check back in when we have a couple of days under our "larger than we'd like" belts and I'll let you know we're doing!
